ALIDI won MARS tender in Kazakhstan
29.03.2016ALIDI announces the win the tender of MARS, Inc. for the implementation of distribution operations on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The tender was organized by MARS as a part of strategy shift of working with distributors in the region. According to its results, 3 distributors will operate on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Each of them will effect sales in several business areas: Wrigley, MARS Petcare and MARS Chocolate. Distributors will operate in different regions of the republic. The tender was held in the period of May’2015 to January’2016. Five companies from different CIS countries were attended it.
The main criteria for winners selecting were: experience in independent sales development of major product line, the work experience in different countries and with different producers, motivation for partnership development with MARS and willingness to invest in the business.
ALIDI won the tender on the territory of Almaty and Taldykorgan, located in the south-east of the country. Until the end of the first half of 2016, ALIDI will open distribution center in Almaty and warehouse in Taldykorgan to guarantee carrying-out of partner’s requirements for product storage. Also ALIDI will open sales offices in Almaty and Taldykorgan. Under the agreement with the producer, ALIDI will provide infrastructure for sales business processes, warehouses, logistics, as well as the centralization of IT and financial functions to ensure optimal level of costs.
ALIDI will supply more than 200 SKU in all formats of retail outlets: 57 SKU of Wrigley, 70 SKU of MARS Chocolate and 110 SKU of MARS Petcare. The company plans to serve 9000 retail outlets. The planned number of employees of ALIDI Kazakhstan will be more than 400 people. According to internal forecasts, ALIDI Kazakhstan share will be 8% in ALIDI business by the end of the first year of operations.
